Power to the people

a couple of weeks ago in hurumanu 6 ( Power to people), we looked at a politician and that kinda stuff. We learned a lot about government and politicians so we are doing our own election to choose the prime mister of the class.

Today we made our Logo and slogan and this is our slogan( Keep the dream green)

Business and Enterprise

Hi, in the past 2 weeks we are doing Business and Enterprise which is a business that we are doing at school and making money for school and it include gaming, selling products, activities and etc. and its on Wednesday 23th of September of 2020.

Me, Ashton, TJ and Jayden are in a same group and we are doing an activity called Football Challengers. So basically there is a goal and a goal keeper and you have to pay 2.50$ per turn and if you score you will get a lollies and the more you score the more lollies you will get.

The Link of the slide

And my favourite part of Business and Enterprise was when we made a poster and we made a cool poster and that was the most exited thing we did and in my opinion the most challenging part was when we were supposed to choose between Football and Fortnite.

I showed CARR values by doing the right thing in the right time and RESPECT the teachers and my teammates.

Instrument Evaluation

  1. What have you studied in Music this term?

( Write in your own words)

We have studied ukelele, guitar, piano.

  1. Which instrument have you enjoyed and why?

I enjoyed all of them because I like learning new things.

3- Which instrument did you find the most challenging and why?

The guitar, because it was really hard to change the chords and I was always messing it up.

  1. Which instrument are you going to focus on for the rest of the term and why? What would you like to achieve?

Energy transformation experiment

Energy transformation experiment:

  1. Light
  2. Sound
  3. Compounds Potential
  4. Kinetic
  5. Heat
  6. Electrical Energy
  7. Gravitation and potential energy
  8. Elastic potential energy
____________________________________________________________________

1-Chemical + electrical=  Battry

2-Light + chemicals=  Flash light

3-Kinetic + Light=  Car

Aim: To make a marshmallow shooter that transformers energy.

_________________________________________________________________________

Equipment:

  1.  Ballon
  2. Cup
  3. Marshmallow
  4. duck tape
__________________________________________________________________________________

Method:

We had to make a hole at the bottom of the cup and then we cut the bottom of ballon to and then I stick the cup at the bottom of the ballon and then we placed the marshmallow in the cup and then we could shoot it.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Conclusion:

Elastic energy to kinetic energy. because we were able to move the marshmallow with a cup.

Elected Government

Hi, Today in Hurmanu 6 we made an infographic about Elected government and hope you like it.

Energy transformation

Energy transformation

The law of conversation of energy

Energy can't be created nor destroyed but only change from one form into another form.

Example:

  • Flashlight: battery to light energy.

  • Car:  Chemical to Kinetic light sound.

  • Phone:  Power plus charger = phone.

  • Laptop:  Electricity to light, sound.

Aim: To look at the energy transformation

Equipment:

  • buns and burner
  • paper
  • string

Summary:

What kind of energy was transformed?

To heat energy to kenetic

What was it transformed too?

From heat to kentic

The guitar

The guitar

What is challenging about playing the guitar?

-Changing Between Chords

Difference between guitar and ukulele?

The guitar is much bigger than ukulele and guitar has 6 strings but ukulele has 4.

Nuclear energy

Nuclear energy

Definition: Nuclear energy is energy in the nucleus (core) of an atom. Atoms are tiny particles that make up every object in the universe.

How is it made?

Nuclear energy originates from the splitting of uranium atoms a process called fission.

What countries use this energy?

  • Sweden
  • Spain
  • Belgium
  • India
  • The Czech Republic
  • Switzerland

What is it used for?

Nuclear energy produces electricity that can be used to power homes, schools, businesses, and hospitals. The first nuclear reactor to produce electricity was located near Arco, Idaho.

Energy

Energy

Definition:

Stored in an object,The ability to move something.

Different kind of Energy

Light Energy
The energy of the electronomietic waves, found in microwaves, X-rays, and visible light.

examples: Lampes, flashlights

Heat energy
Cause by the movement of particles. found in all hot objects.

examples: Air-conditions, sun

Sound energy
Energy produces by vibrating objects. Examples are speech, ultrasound and music.

examples: loudspeakers, phones

Compounds potential Energy
Energy stored in the bonds between particles. found in substance like petrol and food.

examples: batteries, cars

Electrical Energy
The movement of electrically charged particles. found in wires, generators and lighting.

examples: batteries, lightning

Gravitation and potential energy
Energy stored in objects due to their height above the ground

examples: rock, asteroid

Kinetic energy
Energy due to the motion of objects. Eg. moving cars, running, swimming

examples: moving cars, walking

Elastic potential energy
Energy stored in stretched or squashed objects. Examples are springs and rubber band.

examples: The coil spring of a wind-up clock. An archer's stretched bow.
